Change text capitalization

  1. Paste or type text into the input box.
  2. Choose the required case option, such as uppercase, lowercase or title case.
  3. Review the output field for names, acronyms and words that need special capitalization.
  4. Make any required edits in the output before copying it.
  5. Keep a copy of the original if the text is important.

Choose a case style for the destination

Uppercase is often used for short labels, lowercase for normalized text and title case for headings. Sentence case is typically easier to read in longer UI copy; follow the style guide for your document.

Review names and abbreviations

Automatic capitalization cannot know every brand name, acronym, language rule or personal preference. Check the result before publishing or sending it.

The four styles

UPPERCASE makes every letter a capital and lowercase makes every letter small. Sentence case starts the text and each new sentence after a full stop, a question mark or an exclamation mark with a capital letter. Title case gives every word a capital first letter. Choose the style, press the button and copy the result.

A worked example

Take the text hello WORLD. this is NexaToolPro. Sentence case gives Hello world. This is nexatoolpro. Title case gives Hello World. This Is Nexatoolpro. Notice that the tool first makes everything small and only then adds capitals, so names, brand spellings and abbreviations that were in capitals, such as NASA or PDF, lose them. Correct those by hand.

Choosing a style

Use uppercase for short labels and warnings, lowercase for tags, usernames and file names, sentence case for most paragraphs and buttons and title case for headings in styles that use it. Title case here capitalizes small words such as of and the as well, which some style guides do not want, so read the result before you publish it.
