Delete Pages from a PDF Without Changing the Original
Use Delete PDF Pages when a copy of a document contains blank sheets, duplicate scans, or pages that should not be included in a shareable version. The original upload remains on your device.
How to use this tool
- Choose a PDF and wait for its total page count.
- Enter pages to remove, such as 2,4-6.
- Check that you are not removing every page.
- Select Remove pages and download.
- Review the page sequence and total pages in the output.
Options explained
Enter individual page numbers or ranges separated by commas. The remaining pages keep their relative order. For a rearranged output, open Organize PDF instead.
Privacy and file limits
Removing pages from the exported copy is not the same as redacting content. The source PDF is not overwritten.
Page numbers and ranges
Type the pages you want to remove, separated by commas. A single number removes one page, and two numbers joined by a dash remove a range. For example 2,4-6 removes page 2 and pages 4, 5 and 6, and 1,3 removes the first and the third page. The pages that remain keep their original order, and the tool does not let you remove every page.
Check before you download
After you choose the file, wait until the page count appears so you know how many pages there are. Look at the pages you plan to remove, because page numbers on the printed paper may differ from the position of the page in the file, for example when a cover page has no number. Your original file is not changed, and the new file is a separate download.
Deleting a page is not redaction
Removing a page only makes a new copy without that page. It does not hide information on the pages that stay. If you need to remove a name, a number or a signature from a page, removing the page is the safe way, but covering the text with a black box is not safe unless the text underneath is really removed. Keep the original in a private place.
Related tasks
Use Organize PDF when you want to reorder or rotate pages as well as remove them. Use Split PDF to take out a range of pages as a separate file. Use Merge PDF to put the cleaned file together with other documents, and Add Page Numbers afterwards if the numbering needs to be renewed.
Frequently asked questions
Does the tool change my original file?
No. It creates a new PDF without the pages you chose, and the original stays as it was.
Can I get a deleted page back?
Not from the new file. Run the tool again from the original PDF.
What is the difference between Delete PDF Pages and Split PDF?
Delete PDF Pages keeps the rest of the document and removes the pages you name. Split PDF takes out the pages you name as their own file.
Is deleting a page the same as redacting a secret?
No. It removes that page from the copy only. Other pages are not changed, and covering text on a page does not remove it.
