Random Number Generator: Choose a Number in a Range

Use a random number generator for a quick choice, classroom example or non-critical selection. Enter the range boundaries and understand that this utility is not a certified lottery or security randomness service.

Practical guide · NexaToolPro

Generate a number within a range

  1. Enter the smallest allowed number.
  2. Enter the largest allowed number.
  3. Generate a value and check that it falls within the requested range.
  4. Generate again if you need another independent choice.
  5. For prizes, regulated draws or security tasks, use a trusted audited system instead.

Inclusive range and repeat results

The tool returns a number within the entered range. A new result can repeat a number generated earlier; it does not maintain a draw history or remove previous values.

Use the right randomness for the task

This utility is suited to casual examples and choices. Do not rely on it for cryptographic keys, gambling, regulated drawings or decisions that require auditable fairness.

The settings

Type a minimum and a maximum, both whole numbers, choose how many numbers you want from 1 to 10 (the start is 5), and tick No repeated numbers if each number may appear only once. Press Generate numbers. The numbers are drawn with the secure random source of your browser, and the range can be up to about four billion values. If you ask for more different numbers than the range holds, the tool tells you.

Examples

For a dice roll use 1 and 6 with one number. To choose three winners from 50 entries, use 1 and 50, ask for 3 numbers and tick No repeated numbers. To choose a random roll number, use the first and last roll numbers as the limits. Write down the result before you share it, so that everybody sees the same draw.

Fairness and limits

The numbers are random enough for classroom use, games, picking a turn or choosing a sample. Do not use the tool for gambling, for regulated prize draws or for anything that needs a record that others can audit. For a public giveaway, say the rules first and keep a screenshot of the result.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get several random numbers without repeats?

Yes. Set the smallest and largest number, choose how many numbers you want (1 to 10), tick No repeated numbers and press Generate numbers. The range must hold enough different numbers.

Can the same number appear twice?

Yes. Generate a fresh result does not automatically exclude numbers previously produced.

Is this suitable for a lottery drawing?

No. Use an audited and transparent process designed for regulated or prize-based draws.

How do I pick 3 different numbers from 1 to 50?

Set Minimum 1, Maximum 50, How many numbers 3, and tick No repeated numbers.

Can I use it for a lottery?

No. It is not meant for gambling or regulated draws.
