Six kinds of measurement
Choose a measurement type first and then the From and To units. Length has metres, kilometres, centimetres, millimetres, miles, feet and inches. Weight has 16 units, including kilograms, grams, pounds, ounces, stones, quintals, tonnes, tola, seer, mann and carats. Volume has litres, millilitres, cubic metres, US gallons and US cups. Speed has ten units from metres per second to knots and Mach. Temperature has Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin, and Area has eight units including marla, kanal and square yards (gaz).
Examples
A plot of 5 marla is 1,361.25 square feet. One tola is about 11.66 grams. A speed of 100 km/h is about 62.14 mph. A temperature of 25 degrees Celsius is 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Two litres are about 8.45 US cups. Pick the type, enter the number and use Swap units to check the reverse direction.

Why does temperature conversion need a different formula?
Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin have different scale origins, so converting temperature uses an offset as well as a scale factor.
Is a converted value more accurate than the input?
No. Conversion changes units, but cannot improve the accuracy of the original measurement.
