    About Image Cropper

Cropping removes unwanted edges and focuses attention on a subject. This image cropper uses pixel coordinates, so preview the image and keep the crop rectangle inside its original dimensions.

    How to use Image Cropper

    1. Choose an image and wait for the preview to appear.
    2. Drag the box on the picture to move it, and drag its corners and edges to resize it. Use Draw new selection to start again, or Select whole image.
    3. If you need exact numbers, open Enter exact values and type the position and size in pixels.
    4. Start the crop and check the edges of the downloaded picture.
    5. Adjust the box and try again if an important detail was cut off.

    After cropping

Cropping creates a new file and leaves your original as it is. If the form or website asks for a particular pixel size, crop first for the right shape and then use Image Resizer to set the size, or use the optional Crop first step inside Image Resizer. Keep the original, because cropped-away parts cannot be brought back from the new file.

    Frequently asked questions

    Why does the crop fail?

The selected rectangle may start outside the image, have zero size or extend beyond the source dimensions. Reduce or reposition the crop values.

Can I restore cropped edges later?

The downloaded image contains the crop result only. Keep the original if you may need a different crop.

How do I crop a square?

Drag the box and make the width and height the same in Enter exact values.

    Can I undo a crop?

Not from the cropped file. Use your original and crop again.
