How to Add a Timestamp to a Photo Online
A timestamp on a photo shows when it was taken, which helps with inspections, site reports and records. This free tool reads the date and time saved in the photo file and writes it on a copy of the picture. Your original is never changed and nothing is uploaded.
Stamp your photos
- Choose one or more photos from your device (JPG, PNG or WebP).
- Check the time shown for each photo. It is the time saved by the camera or phone when the photo was taken.
- Saudi Arabia time (KSA, UTC+3) is the default. If your phone clock was set to another country, choose it. Then pick the format, size and colour, and click a picture to place the stamp exactly where you want it.
- Optional: type the shift hours and how many photos you need, to see which photos fit. Add a place such as Tabuk, KSA if you want it on the photo, and switch the timestamp off for any photo that should stay without one.
- Tick what you want in the ZIP (stamped copies, your untouched originals, a report PDF) and press Download ZIP.
Where the time comes from
Cameras and phones save the date and time of the shot inside the photo file. This tool reads that saved time. Some apps, such as WhatsApp, remove it when a photo is sent, so those photos have no saved time.
If the time is missing or wrong
If a photo has no saved time, type the hour, minute and second you know are correct. If the phone clock was set to another country, choose that country and the time is converted to Saudi time. If the clock was simply wrong, use the correction box. A small note under the stamp says "converted PKT to KSA" or "adjusted +120 min". A typed time gets an asterisk (*) after it, because it was entered by a person and not read from the camera.
Check, ZIP and report
Before you download, you can type the shift hours and how many photos you need. The tool then shows which photos are inside the shift, which are outside and which have no saved time yet. It only tells you; it never changes a time. The ZIP can hold the stamped copies, your untouched originals and a report PDF with six photos to a page.
Keep your originals
The stamped photo is a new copy and your original file is untouched. Keep the originals, and send an original when someone needs a photo without a stamp. The copy has no hidden data, such as location, inside it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to write something when I type a time?
Yes. A typed time needs a name, for example the inspection (FLS, FRA, FM200, hydrant) or the community. It is written on the photo exactly as you typed it, and the time gets an asterisk (*) because it was entered by a person. The photo cannot be stamped until you type the name. Photos with a camera time do not need it. Project and company names can also go in Location text.
Can I add a place name such as Tabuk, KSA?
Yes. Type it in Location text. It is written under the date and time. You can also switch off the time zone name if the location already says it.
Can I leave some photos without a timestamp?
Yes. Every photo has a box, Add a timestamp to this photo. Untick it and that photo is not stamped. Your originals are always kept untouched.
Can I get the photos without a stamp?
Yes. Tick Your untouched original photos and the ZIP holds them exactly as you chose them, in the folder originals. Use them where a photo without a stamp is wanted.
What is the report PDF?
A PDF with your stamped photos in a grid, six to a page, with the file name and the time under each photo. It is written in English.
Does the tool use the time the photo was taken?
Yes. It reads the date and time saved in the photo file by the camera or phone. If a photo has none, you type the time you know is correct and also a name (for example the inspection or the community). The name is written on the photo exactly as you typed it, and the time gets an asterisk (*) because it was entered by a person. The photo cannot be stamped without the name.
Does it work with WhatsApp photos?
You can stamp them, but WhatsApp usually removes the saved time, so you have to type the time yourself and the stamp will say so.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The photo is processed in your browser and never leaves your device.
Can it remove a timestamp or watermark from a photo?
No. It only adds a stamp to a copy and never changes the original. If you need the picture without a stamp, use the original file.
Can I stamp many photos at once?
Yes. Choose up to 40 photos, set the stamp once, and download them all in one ZIP.
