Add Timestamp to Photo

Write the date and time a photo was taken on the picture. The time is read from the photo file, and your original is never changed. Nothing is uploaded. FREE

Use this tool only for photos you took or are allowed to label. Do not use it to mislead anyone about when or where a photo was taken.

How to use this tool
  1. Take the photos with the normal camera app, without a stamp app. The phone saves the real time inside every photo.
  2. Move the photos as files so the saved time is kept: in WhatsApp choose Document, or use Google Drive, USB or Bluetooth.
  3. Press Choose photos and select up to 40 photos.
  4. Check the time shown for each photo. Saudi time (KSA) is the default. If a photo has no saved time, type the date, hour, minute and second you know are true; you also type a name (for example FLS inspection or the community name). It is written exactly as you type it, and the time gets an asterisk (*) because it was entered by a person.
  5. Optional: type the shift hours and how many photos you need, to see which photos fit. Switch "Add a timestamp to this photo" off for any photo that should stay without one.
  6. Choose the format, size, colour and place of the stamp, or click on a picture to put it there. Add an extra line only if you want one.
  7. Tick what you need in the ZIP: stamped copies, your untouched originals, and a report PDF. Press Download ZIP.
  8. Use the stamped copies where a time stamp is required, and the untouched originals where one is not wanted.

Whatever you type is written on the photo exactly as you typed it. A photo with a camera time does not need it. When you type the time for a photo, the time gets an asterisk (*) and the photo cannot be saved without a name. The asterisk means the time was entered by a person, not read from the camera; you can write that in your SOP. The ZIP has a file stamp-log.csv that says it too.

Tip: click on any picture below to place the stamp exactly there (the position box changes to Custom). Saudi Arabia time (KSA, UTC+3) is the default. If your phone clock was set to another country, choose it in the first box: the stamp then says, for example, [converted PKT to KSA].

Your original photos are never changed: the stamped photo is a new copy. Keep the originals, and send an original whenever someone needs a photo without a stamp. If you correct the clock or type a time yourself, a small note under the stamp says so, for example "adjusted +120 min". A typed time has an asterisk (*) after it, so the record stays honest. The copy has no hidden data (such as the place where it was taken) inside it.

Check before you download (optional)

Type the shift hours and how many photos you need. The tool only tells you which photos fit; it never changes a time.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I have to write something when I type a time?

Yes. A typed time needs a name, for example the inspection (FLS, FRA, FM200, hydrant) or the community. It is written on the photo exactly as you typed it, and the time gets an asterisk (*) because it was entered by a person. The photo cannot be stamped until you type the name. Can I add a place name such as Tabuk, KSA?

Yes. Type it in Location text. It is written under the date and time. You can also switch off the time zone name if the location already says it.

Can I leave some photos without a timestamp?

Yes. Every photo has a box, Add a timestamp to this photo. Untick it and that photo is not stamped. Your originals are always kept untouched.

Can I get the photos without a stamp?
