How to Organize PDF Pages: Reorder, Delete and Rotate

A scanned packet or combined report may have pages in the wrong order. The Organize PDF tool lets you build a new page sequence using page numbers, while keeping the original file unchanged.

How to use this tool

  1. Select a PDF and note the page count shown beside the file name.
  2. Enter the page numbers in the order the new document should use. For example, 3,1,2 puts the third page first.
  3. Leave out a number to remove that page from the new copy. Keep at least one page.
  4. If needed, enter page rotations such as 2:90,4:180.
  5. Choose Organize and download, then review the output PDF.

Options explained

You can omit page numbers to remove pages and repeat a page number if a duplicate is useful. Rotation uses the original page number before the pages are reordered.

Privacy and file limits

This tool changes the order and rotation of pages in the exported copy; it does not edit your source PDF. Documents with encryption or unsupported structures may not open.

Writing the page order

Type the page numbers in the order the new file should have, separated by commas. 3,1,2 puts page 3 first, then page 1, then page 2. A number you leave out is not in the new file, and a number you repeat gives you that page twice. At least one page must stay. The page count is shown next to the file name so you know which numbers exist.

Rotating while you organize

To turn pages at the same time, add rotations such as 2:90,4:180, which rotates original page 2 by 90 degrees and original page 4 by 180 degrees. The rotation uses the page number from the original file, before the pages are reordered. This is handy for a scan with a few pages on their side.

Related tools and checks

Use Delete PDF Pages when you only want to remove pages, Rotate PDF when you only want to turn them and Split PDF when you want separate files. Open the finished PDF and scroll through it, because it is easy to type a wrong number. Your original file does not change, so you can try again from the start.
