    About Crop PDF

Cropping a PDF can remove scanner borders or excess white space around a page. This tool applies the same margin values to each page and saves a new file.

    How to use Crop PDF

    1. Select the PDF you want to crop and wait for the first page to appear.
    2. Draw a box on the page, or drag the box to move it and its corners and edges to resize it. Whole page selects the full page again.
    3. Choose Apply to: All pages (same area) or Only the pages I set (each page its own area), and move through the pages with the page controls.
    4. Look at the live result picture and the cropped page size. Open Enter exact values if you want precise margins in points.
    5. Crop and download the PDF, then open it and check every page.

    Cropping is not redaction

The crop hides the part outside the box in a viewer, but the content is not deleted from the file, so a person with the right tool could bring it back. Never rely on cropping to hide a name, a number or a picture that must stay private. To remove content for good, remove the page or replace it, and check the result in a PDF program that can inspect the content.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I crop each page differently?

Yes. Choose Only the pages I set and adjust the box on each page.

    Can I type exact margins?

Yes. Open Enter exact values and use points, where 72 points are one inch.

Will cropped content be deleted for good?

No. It is only hidden, so cropping is not a safe way to remove private information.
